- Sustain ("hold") tie - keeps whatever the voice was already playing.
The four voices
- P1 / P2
- The two pulse (square-wave) channels.
- WV
- The wavetable channel.
- NS
- The noise channel (percussion / hats).
Settings menu
- NEW
- Wipe the live song back to defaults (asks to confirm; saved slots are untouched).
- SAVE
- Pick a slot 1-3, name it, and store the song to cartridge SRAM.
- LOAD
- Pick a slot and confirm to load it over the current song.
- BPM
- Hold A + Up/Down to set tempo (40-240).
- LOOP
- ON = song repeats at the X marker; OFF = stops at the end.
- AGM
- Auto-Glitch on MIDI clock - ON makes incoming clock auto-engage glitch mode.
- SNC
- Clock direction + rate (see below).
SNC values
- I1X / I2X / IHF
- Clock IN (slave): follow an external clock at normal / double / half rate.
- O1X / O2X / OHF
- Clock OUT (master): send clock out the link port to drive another GB at that rate.
Glitch performance FX
Enter with SEL+START. Hold a button while playing:
Single buttons - step / transport FX:
- A
- Stutter - latches the current step and replays it.
- B
- Drone - locks to step 0 of the pattern.
- ◀
- Reverse the pattern.
- ►
- 4-step block repeat.
- ▲
- 2-step beat loop - latches the current 2-step block and repeats it (tighter than the 4-step repeat).
- ▼
- Half-time.
- SELECT
- Sweep FX override on Pulse 1.
Hold A + D-pad - pitch FX on the melodic voices:
- A+▲
- Up one octave.
- A+▼
- Down one octave.
- A+◀
- Tape-stop - pitch slurs down to a halt while held.
- A+►
- Spin-up - pitch bends up while held; release snaps back.
Hold B + D-pad - live arpeggio (fires on any patch, even with ARP off):
- B+▲
- Arp up - climbs in octaves from the note.
- B+▼
- Arp down - descends in octaves.
- B+◀
- Arp bounce - triangles up and back down.
- B+►
- Arp random - jumps between the octave notes.
Instrument parameter codes
| Code | Range | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| VOL | 0-15 | Volume - the envelope's peak level. |
| DUT | 0-3 | Duty (pulse voices) - square-wave width: 12%, 25%, 50%, 75%. |
| WAV | preset | Wave (wave voice) - selects the wavetable shape. |
| WID | 0-1 | Width (noise voice) - LFSR width: buzzy (15-bit) or metallic (7-bit). |
| ATK | 0-15 | Attack - how fast the note fades in (higher = faster). |
| DEC | 0-15 | Decay - fall from peak down to the sustain level. |
| SUS | 0-15 | Sustain - the level a held note settles at. |
| REL | 0-15 | Release - how fast the note fades out after it ends. |
| OCT | -2..+2 | Octave shift (pulse / wave). |
| PAN | L..R | Pan - stereo position (left / center / right). |
| DET | -64..+63 | Detune - fine pitch offset for chorus / out-of-tune effects. |
| VBR | 0-16 | Vibrato Rate - pitch-wobble speed (tempo-synced subdivision). |
| VBD | 0-127 | Vibrato Depth - how far the pitch wobbles. |
| TMR | 0-16 | Tremolo Rate - volume-wobble speed (tempo-synced). |
| TMD | 0-127 | Tremolo Depth - how far the volume wobbles. |
| TMS | 0-31 | Tremolo Shape - 0 = smooth sine; 1-31 = square gate (chop) duty. |
